Unique Spanish Americana boutique hotel set in the heart of London's local art scene. Vibrant Cubano hues, hand painted Mexican wall tiles, colonialist furniture and iconic art embellish this charming hotel which has a refreshingly unique Spanish-American theme brimming with the Latin vibes of venice Beach, Miami, Cuba and Mexico. The church Street Hotel is situated near Oval with the Brixton and Vauxhall music venues nearby, offering a real downtown London experience, with an exciting array of eateries, effervescent night life and vibrant art scene in the immediate area.
Church Street Hotel is anything but what it seems, its smart grey façade conceals the secrets that lie within. Step inside this boutique hotel and you are transported to a world far, far away from bustling South London. A world more akin to Venice Beach, Miami or Cuba than Camberwell. This is a hotel that is within easy reach of the regular tourist haunts yet in an area that embodies the multicultural metropolis that is 'real' London. A unique experience that is unlike anything else in the capital. Brothers Jose and Mel Raido spent two years creating this special place, and the personal touch is everywhere. Befitting its name, Church Street Hotel has been fashioned with a Spanish-Americana religious flavour - the reception desk is an exotic former altar and the corridors are decorated with icons and candles. Through beautiful arched doorways, the rooms are a kaleidoscope of stone-washed blues, greens and yellows, while the bathrooms are covered with intricate hand-painted Mexican tiles. The old-fashioned cast iron beds offer a fantastic contrast to the flat-screen televisions and DVD players. The Hotel's Tapas bar is being refurbished, but in the meantime there is a plethora of restaurants nearby, offering cuisine from all corners of the globe. Attractions in the immediate area include the South London Gallery, Oval Cricket ground, Brixton Academy and the Vauxhall Music Venues, while London's major tourist attractions are all but a short bus or train ride away.
