The bus service is one of the most common public transport means in Czech Republic. Although not very luxurious, the bus service is particularly popular amongst both locals and foreigners because it is relatively cheap and reliable. If you want to utilize this service than its advisable that you have a basic knowledge of Czech or else possess a good translator as its common to find drivers that do not understand the English language.
At both sides of the Charles Bridge you will find well-dressed “sailors” that will offer you a small cruise and some drinks at a very reasonable price. This way of transportation is very romantic and is recommended for all those who want to turn and ordinary evening into an experience to remember.
While it is advisable that you use Prague’s efficient and rather cheap public transportation service, the taxi service still hold a market of its own. It is recommended that you set the price of the fare before taking the trip as prices can and will vary.
