Welcome to

Located 20 minutes outside of Florence, the renaissance historical residence Villa Il Poggiale has been entirely restored into a luxury accommodation offering the hospitality and atmosphere of a family vacation home.
This luxurious bed and breakfast in the heart of Chianti offers well-lit spacious suites and double bedrooms.
The large hall, the heart of the house, with its beautifully painted doors, has comfortable armchairs and welcoming sofas, while various other smaller lounges offer quiet, cozy corners for reading and relaxation.
Each room has its own unique character. The walls are painted in soft pastels made from natural pigments. The fabrics used for curtains and canopies come from small Tuscan artisan workshops. Oriental silks, on the other hand, have been used in the salons and rooms on the ground floor. Great care has been taken in the decoration of the bathrooms where only custom made tiles in harmonious pastels have been used.
Breakfast is served in the bright and cheerful former children's playroom.
The villa has an outdoor swimming pool (open from May 15th to October 15th) which is particularly enjoyed by our summer guests, while the enological delights of our wine cellar are shared by all.
A medium-sized meeting room is available for our guests' needs.
Upon request and season, we can organize trips to Siena during the Palio, to San Miniato to search for truffles, to nearby farms during the olive picking season or to nearby Castello di Rampolla for tasting the best Chianti wines. Cooking lessons in Italian and regional dishes can also be arranged upon request.
For golfers The Ugolino Golf Course, one of the best golf clubs in Italy, is not more than 25 minutes from Villa Il Poggiale. Tee times at special rates for our guests.
